Spoonie full of Disney

A Spoonie is someone who suffers from chronic illness. Most spoonies (like me) suffer from invisible illnesses. To most people we look healthy and able-bodied. Spoonies often have a hard time being diagnosed correctly, if at all.

The term Spoonie came from the writing of Christine Miserandino. She wrote The Spoon Theory. It's a short, two-page story that has sparked a community to come together and has given us a language to try and explain the unexplainable.
