5 things I bring to help make sure I have a magical day at any Disney park

Here's my personal top 5 things I find that help make my day more enjoyable as a spoonie.

I live California so I rarely spend a FULL day in Disneyland. (meaning from rope drop to closing) As a matter of fact, I don't even do that when I go to other Disney parks like Walt Disney World or even Tokyo. BUT I still bring all these items even if i will only be playing in the parks for a handful of hours.

1) A refillable water bottle

This one is SOOO important for me. I have neurological conditions, and man, if I let myself get dehydrated I go down and fast. I wind up in first aid needing to lay down and take a nap. I love bringing my trusty CamelBak water bottle that I have used for 4 years. (and it's still going strong, even after all the times I've dropped it...) In all the Disney parks it is super easy to refill your bottle. They even have water bottle refill spouts scattered around.

**just a reminder your water bottle cannot be made of glass to be let into the parks

2) Earplugs

I honestly never leave home without some, and I have so many pairs. Some are the foam ones that you squish to fit in your ears, and even one fancy pair that was custom molded to my ear canals. For me, too much noise and/or loud music can be a major migraine trigger. I also deal with a fair amount of anxiety and the loud fireworks can be a lot for me to handle. I simply pop in some earplugs and I am good to go! Thank you earplugs! (winks at camera like a 1950s cleaning product television advertisement)

3) Pain Reliever

Yup another one I never leave home without. Im sure most spoonies keep some sort of over the counter or prescription pain reliever with them if they live with chronic pain. For me it's the glorious Tylenol. A trusted friend.

4) Layers and socks

I am very sensitive to the cold.. and to heat actually. For me, layering is key and I always keep a light cardigan in my bag. Some rides are cold inside so even on warmer days I find that I'll still pull out my cardigan. Socks are another one that I really love. Having a warmer pair if it is going to be colder that evening, or even just to have a dry pair of socks after riding Splash Mountain (RIP) can be freaking awesome. Really, this one is a tool I use to keep myself as comfortable as I possibly can.

5) SNACKS

Sure, half the reason I go to the parks is to eat all the snacks and food I can, but sometimes its too long of a line or I have missed my window to eat before I start shaking like crazy. I find having a bar or a small Stasher Bag of pretzels can be the difference between a lovely day at Disneyland and needing to go home early. Oh you don't know what a Stasher Bag is?! Let me tell you about one of the favorite products I own! Stasher Bags are reusable silicone snack and sandwich bags. You can freeze them, microwave them, put them in the oven, or even boil them. #notanad just a real big fan. Find them on Amazon or Target even. (winks again at camera)

BONUS: a good bag!

What I mean is, like, a good purse or bag that you can fit everything in and is comfortable to wear all day! For me, I carry a purse that is also a backpack and has pockets on the sides for my water bottle. It has small pocket on the outside for my chapstick and pens too! The inside is roomy enough to have a pocket for my earplugs and fit my cardigan in the main pouch, yet my bag isn't too big or too heavy. (and really, whatever is too heavy I just shove in my husbands backpack and don't tell him... shhhh)

There it is! My personal 5 items I make sure I have with me while I frolick about the Disney Parks like an absolute child.
